Acorn Media International is a division of AMC Networks’ streaming service Acorn TV, North America’s most popular streaming service for British and international television. With offices in the UK and Australia, Acorn Media International licenses a catalogue of compelling TV programmes and feature films to broadcasters and media platforms around the world. These include Agatha Christie’s And Then There Were None & The Witness for the Prosecution, Agatha Raisin, Foyle’s War, Keeping Faith, The Bletchley Circle and Line of Duty. Through Acorn Media Enterprises, its UK development arm, Acorn TV commissions and co-produces new programmes for its leading SVOD service and Acorn Media International.

We invest in original productions and on behalf of our distribution arms, Acorn TV and Acorn Media International, to acquire distribution rights in:

  • UK & Eire

  • Australia & New Zealand

  • Rest of world – where we partner with larger distributors for their global reach

Our investment begins from treatment and/or 1st draft script stage and we have a comprehensive infrastructure comprising Legal, Rights, Clearances, Finance and Sales.

Our recent co-productions include British mystery series AGATHA RAISIN based on the novels by MC Beaton; taut thriller series LONDON KILLS Series 1 & 2 created by Paul Marquess; acclaimed Welsh drama KEEPING FAITH Series 1 & 2; female-led detective drama QUEENS OF MYSTERY; the deeply human drama, BLOOD Series 1 & 2; FINDING JOY, the comedy series from actor Amy Huberman; a drama set in the world of Victorian Photography, DEAD STILL and the Australian Outback cop-thriller MYSTERY ROAD Series 1 & 2.


AMC Networks, of which AME is a subsidiary, owns 64% of Agatha Christie Limited, which manages the intellectual property and publishing rights to some of the greatest works of mystery fiction, including stories of the iconic sleuths MISS MARPLE and POIROT.


AME also owns all rights to the hit UK mystery series FOYLE’S WAR and co-produced FOYLE’S WAR series 8 & 9.
